What is The Ultimate Grid?
The Ultimate Grid is a free, daily sports trivia game for dedicated fans of Football (soccer) and Formula 1. Inspired by the popular "immaculate grid" format, players must identify athletes who uniquely satisfy two overlapping categories at once on a 3×3 board.
For example: a footballer who won the Champions League AND played for Real Madrid — or an F1 driver who was a World Champion and raced for Ferrari in the 2010s. Simple to learn, incredibly challenging to master.
How to Play
- Open the game and choose a mode — Daily, Endless, or Multiplayer.
- You are presented with a 3×3 grid. Each row and each column has a category label (e.g. a club, a competition, a decade, or an achievement).
- Click or tap a cell and type the name of a footballer or F1 driver who satisfies both the row category and the column category for that cell.
- Lock in your answer. If correct, the cell is marked solved. If wrong, you lose a guess.
- Fill all 9 cells to complete the grid and earn a perfect score. Your score and streak are saved to the global leaderboard.

A new hand-crafted Football grid every day at midnight UK time. Compete with every other player on the same puzzle. Build your streak and climb the global leaderboard.

Practice and hone your football knowledge with an infinite supply of AI-generated smart grids. New challenge, no limits.
🏎️ Formula 1 Grids
Endless F1 grids covering drivers, constructors, world champions, and eras from 1950 to the present day. Choose Easy (2010s–present), Hard (1990s–present), or Historian (all eras).
🏁 Race Mode (Live 1v1)
Match up against another real player live. Both of you race through the same grid with a 5-minute clock. Win matches to earn Trophies and climb the ranked ladder.
❌⭕ Tic-Tac-Toe Mode
A turn-based twist on the classic game. Claim cells on the grid to form a line of three. Strategy meets sports knowledge.
🛠️ DIY Creator
Build your own custom grid by selecting your own row and column categories. Generate a unique code and challenge your friends directly through the in-game inbox.
🏆 Trophy Road
Earn Trophies by winning ranked Race Mode matches. As you collect Trophies, you unlock exclusive cosmetic rewards on Trophy Road — including unique titles and profile borders to flex your achievements on the leaderboard and in the VS screen.
